Another shark attack at Ballina. Isn’t it time drones fitted with cameras transmitting to monitors in the surf life saving clubs were used to air patrol beaches?
Sydney beaches were once patrolled by aircraft ( bsed at Bankstown). When did that stop
Drones, even sophisticated ones, are not terribly expensive and could save lives by shark-spotting.
They should be no danger to aircraft as long as they were flown under 500 feet (152 metres) which is under regulated airspace.
