Sydney beaches were once patrolled by aircraft ( bsed at Bankstown). When did that stop
Drones, even sophisticated ones, are not terribly expensive and could save lives by shark-spotting.
They should be no danger to aircraft as long as they were flown under 500 feet (152 metres) which is under regulated airspace.
