NORPA are keen to hear your stories and experiences (contemporary or historical) of any of the community halls in the Byron Shire.
Whether it be a 21st birthday party that went wrong, a cracker wedding, a love story, a recent experience or a legendary tale you’ve heard connected to local hall. No story is too small!
The stories will feed into the next phase of research and development for their new show Dreamland that will be performed at the beautiful Eureka Hall, November 23- December 3.
NORPA is one of the creative teams that will be activating local halls across the region as part of Arts Northern Rivers’ If These Halls Could Talk project.
We are working from the ground up to tap into local stories and characters to devise this new fictional work.
I think this research phase gives us a unique quality that connects us with our audience'”
Combining physical theatre, dance, drama and music Dreamland celebrates the universal stories of our community halls across time.
You can share your stories, anecdotes and images on NORPA’s Facebook page or contact NORPA creative producer Marisa Snow on [email protected]

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
