Lismore’s iconic Lantern Parade will weave its way through the city tomorrow evening, followed by a fiery finale at Oakes Oval.
The parade – which begins at 5.30 – will feature dancers, bands and amazing illuminated sculptures, while the finale at 6.30pm will see fireworks exploding over the city, a bonfire, foodstalls and more bands for dancing.
Prior to the parade, a Kid’s ArtFest, will take place in Magellan Street from midday to 5pm, while the Viking Village will be open from 10am to 4pm, focusing on the arts and culture of the Norse people of the 10th and 11th century.
The Viking Village Solstice takes place in Uralba Street, next to Oakes Oval.
For those looking for something to eat or a memento of the evening, arts, crafts and community market stalls will be set up in Carrington Street from midday until 9pm.
