Last year, not knowing anything about the game, Bruns lass Ruby Taylor began playing Rugby Union for Brunswick Billygoats.
Ruby, who has a passion to play any sport, wanted to give it a go. The 12-year-old picked the game up quickly and her skills and reputation grew fast!
Ruby was selected in the Far North Coast Rugby Union under-12s Representative Team. She has made local history by being the first female ever to be selected in what is usually an all-boys team!
Ruby has become so well known that Mullumbimby Leagues Club requested that she play for them – now she is not only playing rugby for the Billygoats and on the Rep team, but she is also playing league for the Giants as well.
You rock chick!
