Police are investigating a home invasion, which occurred in Sydney’s south west overnight.
Just before 11pm Tuesday (September 6), police were called to a home on Redfern Street, Ingleburn, after reports two men forced their way inside.
A man and a woman were inside the home at the time.
A 33-year-old man was assaulted by the two men, who stole property from the home before leaving.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for a laceration to the back of his head before being taken to Campbelltown Hospital in a stable condition.
The woman was not injured.
A crime scene has been established and officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident.
