Two bushwalkers are recovering after getting lost and spending a night in dense bush in the Border Ranges National Park.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to help police in the search for the missing bushwalkers on Saturday after they failed to return from a day walk on Friday.
The chopper crew spotted the bushwalkers in dense bush around 5pm, and both were extracted by winch.
The medical team treated the patients for mild dehydration and exhaustion before they flew them to the Lismore helibase, requiring no further assistance.
