Police used capsicum spray to restrain a naked male who had been hit by several vehicles after running through traffic at Kingscliff late last week.
Shortly before 8.30am last Thursday, police were called to the vicinity of Wommin Bay Road, Cudgen, in relation to a naked male who had been struck by a number of vehicles and was bleeding.
Police say that when they confronted the man, bleeding from a number of self-inflicted injuries, he became aggressive and they used the spray to prevent further injuries.
He was treated at the scene by ambulance before being escorted to the Tweed Heads Hospital, then later transferred to a Gold Coast hospital.
