A 41-year-old man will appear in court in late January after being refused bail in relation to a ‘pattern of domestic violence’ that lasted more than ten years.
Police allege the man has been involved in assaulting his partner in Casino and Ballina for more than a decade, with the assaults and intimidation including punches, kicks, threats of murder and numerous stand over tactics.
The alleged victim has left the 41-year-old and reported the matter to police.
As a result the 41-year-old was arrested at Ballina yesterday and faced court in the afternoon where he was refused bail until January.
The man is charged with assault, intimidation, breach AVO and being armed with intent.
