A Bogangar woman who has allegedly stolen fuel from a Chinderah service station five times this year has been charged.
According to police, the 18-year-old attended Kingscliff Police Station last Tuesday (February 28) to assist police with enquires regarding five counts of failing to pay for fuel.
They allege that on January 22 and February 3, 6, 10 and 17 she attended the Chinderah service station, refuelled her car and drove off without paying.
The total value of the petrol is alleged to be $314.73.
The woman was charged with five counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception and was bailed to appear before Tweed Heads Local Court on May 1.
