Andrew Moroney and Mark Holton have taken out the 2017 Tony Carsburg Holden Mullumbimby Bowling Club Pairs played last Saturday with $500 prizemoney at stake.

The fast greens and strong winds provided challenging conditions for the three- game, seven-end event.

In the tightest of finishes Andrew Moroney and Mark Holton took first place with three wins, +15 ends followed by Scott and Mark Hogan who recorded three wins, +14 ends.

The prizewinners were rounded out by Terry Johnston and Michael Burke with two wins and a draw.

Leigh Rickert and Richie Northcott with two wins +14; Darrin Blake and Sharon Thomas, two wins +13; Bernie O’Hearn and Troy Creighton, two wins +11; Errol Boyter and Mike Nicholls, two wins +10; Ashley Lumsden and Ben Leeson, two wins +9; Sean Doherty and Shane Knight, one win +12; Clint Marsh and Geoff Flick, two draws + 8; George and Adam McKenzie, one draw + 8; Phill Brassington and Ian Weir, seven ends; and Rose Wainwright and Allan Bartlett, four ends.

Triples

In the previous week’s club triples game Mike Nicholls, Kerry Roberts and Larry Henry defeated Ian Carlin, Darrin Blake and Terry Johnston 23–10.
