A horrible and higher-than-allowed mall in town? No worries, it’s ‘sustainable’. A huge 146-room hotel, function centre, and retail premises on the congested Jonson Street? Absolutely, it’s ‘sustainable’. The destruction of hectares of native wetland, home to endangered species for the bypass? Sure, mate, guess what? It’s ‘sustainable’…

For this Council every mess seems to be ‘sustainable’… even the Disco Dong.
