Extinction Rebellion Northern Rivers is organising two buses to travel to Canberra to take part in the People’s Climate Assembly. Image supplied.

With the People’s Climate Assembly coinciding with the opening of Australian Parliament for 2020, Extinction Rebellion Northern Rivers (XRNR) is organising two buses to travel to Canberra to take part.

Organisers say it will be an ‘historical event and opportunity to demand the Australian government wake up to the crisis all around us and declare a climate emergency!’

XRNR intend to leave from Lismore on Saturday February 1 at 4pm and return Thursday February 6 at 10am. The cost will be between $100 and $150. Carpooling is also encouraged. ‘Please sort your own accomodation, there will be camp out and billeting options available.’

For more info call Naomi on 0423 927 415 or visit the XRNR Facebook page.

    • Absolutely! I’d love to come and make a real pig of myself amongst all these alarmist deniers of natural climate change, after all ‘ 97% of climate scientists can’t be wrong’, Was this rigged statistic arrived at by sending a questionnaire to more than 10,000 scientists, with about 3000 responding, out of which did they found about 75 they liked , to which they added 2 they didn’t like, and there you have it , the famous 97% = only 75 scientists? ! So out of the 3000 or so , 75 is around 2%.

Are ER and Greta just a front for an enormous effort to transform on behalf of global and financial elites , the entire energy basis of society to a so called ‘sustainable or green’ one, with the view, to making enormous amounts of money for financial institutions which Al Gore and his friends have interests in? (carbon trading)
Is it not the best way to do this transformation , is to use mass public support to put pressure on governments?
Is it not an effective way to enlist mass public support, is to appeal to emotions, fears and anxieties especially of young people who live, primarily, in their emotions by being told that unless something is done a.s.a.p. we are all going to fry and die ?

If ER were really concerned about the future of life as we know it they would be saying something about 5G, the saturation of our bio sphere by global elites, with intense levels of untested microwave radiation, that they are not, is very telling.

  1. Anton for P.M! Make that 3 seats! Actually your maths is out a tid, 75 “we are all going to die’ out of 10,249 “what a load of shite” is about 0.75% not 2. They couldn,t even get 1 in a hundred to support them.
