Why is the order to ‘stay at home’ seen as a game of hide and seek? Sars-COV-2 does not care about whether or not you can travel to a holiday home. It does not care what the police say or the government says. It does not consider you a smart arse for putting other people’s lives at risk. It is looking for a host.
I am appalled that a judge would state that he is not breaking the law by travelling to the snow. It is not about the law, it is about restricting your movement. It is about doing what is blatantly obvious – staying at home – to minimise the spread.
It is bizarre seeing people panic buying as if they are going to starve to death. It is much more likely they will die of COVID-19 if they keep moving around, especially when they are clearly not respecting social distancing or wearing a mask. What type of society do we live in when police are required to make sure people behave themselves in the interest of the common good? How is it that our education system has failed so badly?
