The Rock and Roll Coffee Company, Mullumbimby, proudly presents the first of a series, showcasing original music and visual art. ‘Something About Songwriters’ is an intimate celebration of the truth and delight we find in each other through sharing artistic space.
Much loved songstress Rebecca Ireland takes us on a sweet lyrical and rhythmic ride with acoustic renditions from her most recent work, Roadside Flowers through to pieces from her debut album, Love & Sticky Tape and beyond.
Marika Bryant from ABC Arts Hub says, ‘Rebecca’s poetic and lyrical slant on life is original and poignant’.
Other performers on the day will be Jessie Rose and Matt Day who are Broadwaters. Journey through diverse landscapes of well-crafted songs, intricate fingerstyle guitar-meets-storytelling in velvet harmonies; a match made in heaven.
Katie Grubb is an up-and-coming local artist who has already won the hearts of people in China with her biophilia, colour-popping works. Katie’s latest series has been exploring chaos theory and the unlimited potential of uncertainty, and will be featured.
The Rock and Roll crew will be offering up their vibrant Pan-Asian fare with a nighttime twist; and their bar will offer cocktails, beers, wines, hot drinks and sweets. Yummy times.
Doors open at 6pm. Limited tickets $25 – see QR code on ad, or visit FB Something about Songwriters

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
