Legend Pizza

If you go back in time 32 years, Byron was very different, but Legend Pizza was already a massive favourite of locals. You’d have to be a bit of a legend to have a successful business that’s been right in the middle of Jonson St for 30 of those years; that’s been locally owned and operated the whole time.

An edict to every sporting club, charity, mining company, insurance company, bank, etc. You know who you are. It is the height of arrogance that these organisations spruik their support for the Voice. I suggest they take this view as they depend on either handouts, contracts, or favours from the government. Do they really think any of their employees support the highly questionable Voice?

On the contrary, I suggest the opposite is reality. These arrogant non-consultative organisations take it upon themselves to speak for the individual without asking for their personal opinion. What fools they are – little do they know.

I suggest their employees do not agree with them and in many instances will take the opposite stance.

Albo is as usual living in his little extremely left world, no one would dare disagree with the ‘best-ever’ prime minister. Well Albo, I have news for you. You do not understand the Australian people, they are not all green lefty socialists like yourself. Your incompetent ministry pushes your misguided ideas with no apparent support. You are such a loser Albo.

The organisations that pander to Albo will regret their actions, they will have egg on their faces for eternity. They will reap what they sow.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

  1. Do you personally know all of the people who work for all of the sporting clubs, charities, mining companies, insurance companies, banks, etc. in Australia and that they don’t support the voice?, talk about presumptuous and arrogance, by the writer, absolutely breath-taking.

  2. It is the height of arrogance from Albo and the pandering company’s to even suggest their employees agree with the voice. People will not be bullied or told how to vote, Aussies are much smarter than that, how can anyone vote for a constitutional change with no details provided by the sneaky Albo government. I suggest many will rebel with a huge NO VOTE. A huge coincidence how QANTAS signwrite some aircraft with Yes 2023 all over them after Albo inhibited rival airlines from competing with Qantas. No favouritism here?. A complicit favours for votes Albo style. Nothing to see here peasants.

    • After the political hit job on the Morrison Government through the Ms Higgins saga..
      now the Voice ..!
Just vote yes and leave the details to us ..
Don’t trust Albo Greg and never will..

      • Barrow on the Higgins sags, “no one had any knowledge, how dare you”, said Skaty Flaky Katy Gallagher and PM Alboss agreed 100% with her, even after she admitted that she did know.
Yes Barrow, details are not Albo’s strong suit.

        • So let’s be clear here, Joachim. In racing to cheer with your mate Barrow, exactly what are you suggesting about the “Ms Higgins saga” and any relationship to a “hit job on the Morrison Government”? Have you thought this through or are you just overcome by pathological urges to invent more silly nomenclature and rush to the keyboard?

Btw, I think you’re on thin ice bandying around terms like “flaky”. ⛸️

          • Lizardbreath, lets be clear here, that by her own words, its on the public record, Gallagher did mislead parliament .
But poor hapless Albo, couldn’t bring himself to admit the truth, he doubles down.
That’s the sort of rubbish that passes for Albo’s election promise of restoring “integrity and transparency”.

Albo and Katy, ‘The Flaky Bunch’.

          • Joachim I see you totally ignored my question. Typical! Too hard?

Instead we have the intellectual equivalent of a tongue poke with a thumb to the head 👋.

      • Hey Craig, it seems from your comment that you trust Morrison?
Good. There goes any shred of credibility or relevance you have!

As for you Greg MacDonald Pimlico, why is it not ok for Voice supporters to spruik their support, yet it’s ok for you to spruik your petty, small-minded, race-based opposition & criticisms?

    • The details Greg, will be decided by both Houses of Parliament.

The proposed alteration to the constitution:
“Chapter IX Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples 129 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice
In recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia:
      1: There shall be a body, to be called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice;
      2: The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice may make representations to the Parliament and the Executive Government of the Commonwealth on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples;
3: The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws with respect to matters relating to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, including its composition, functions, powers and procedures.”

      • Where is the definition of ‘representations’?
Given that everything a government does relates to its citizens in some way, can you give an example of something the govt does not relate to them?
Part 3 does not say ‘have exclusive power’, so other bodies can define funcs, powers etc, like the High Court.

        • As you have pointed out Christian, the constituents is meant to be a broad statement of principle. It wouldn’t do to have it really complicated surely.

Did you listen to Mark Dreyfus delivering his speech in support of the referendum bill? The intent outlined in the Attorney General’s words play an important part in this as well and, the legal eagles tell us, go a long way to determining the likely success of high court challenge.

I did, it sounded fine to me. Perhaps you can still catch it on YouTube.

  3. What are the polls showing lately?. Well what do you know, employees of large voice supporting company’s are rebelling against them and many intend to vote NO. Who would have guessed that?. Anyone with half a functioning brain I suggest. Leftist’s just don’t get it do they, people will not be dictated to by the likes of them. Go NO.
