A Friday night police blitz on crime prevention in the Tweed Shire has reportedly resulted in a series of arrests.
Operation Sharkx included police stopping more than 70 cars and carrying out mobile breath and drug testing.
Officers said the blitz was aimed at street crime prevention and disruption and that they issued traffic 42 fines.
They also reportedly arrested several people and issued Court Attendance Notices in relation to two people caught with possession of a knife in a public place without reasonable cause.
Another three people were arrested for possessing a prohibited drug.
Police arrested one driver for driving whilst legally disqualified and another for driving on a suspended license.
Two drivers tested positive to mid-range levels of alcohol in their systems.
Officers also found someone in breach of bail conditions.
