November 25 is the start of the 16 Days of Activism against Domestic Violence an annual event when the community pledges to say ‘no’ to domestic, family and sexual violence.
The initiative, launched in 2008, was created to support the civil society-led 16 Days campaign around the world.
Lives are lost every year due to domestic murder and trauma. Domestic and family violence creates a burden upon our future and our children – next year it will the 50th anniversary of domestic violence refuges in Australia. We ask you to make the pledge and say ‘no to domestic violence’.
