A man has been charged following a police operation yesterday, which led to the temporary closure of a major road.
About 8am on Thursday 23 November 2023, emergency services were called to a private property on the Bruxner Highway, Wollongbar, following a concern for welfare.
About 2pm, a 45-year-old man was taken into custody by officers from the Tactical Operations Unit. He was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for assessment before being taken to Lismore Police Station.
There he was charged with use carriage service to make hoax threat, give false information person/property in danger, and possess prohibited drug.
A further charge of contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO was laid in relation to a separate incident.
He was refused bail to appear before Lismore Local Court today (Friday 24 November 2023).
This very poorly explained incident increasingly looks suspiciously like another combined police ‘Training Op’ and thus a complete over-reaction to any supposed threat and explanation given to the public so far.
Nonsense. Everything that happens is not a conspiracy. Might be time for a good long look at yourself.
