Thank you N Feinstein for your letter in The Echo describing your families direct experience in Israel and at the fact that Arab/Palestinian Israelis have full equal rights and equal opportunities to pursue any career that they wish to in Israel. Arab citizens, especially women can only dream about having such freedom and rights in Muslim countries. As you say, there are far more Arab/Palestinian doctors in Israel than Jewish ones and obviously the bulk of their patients would be Jewish.

There are Arab/Palestinian Supreme Court judges in Israel such as George Karra who sentenced Israeli (Jewish) president Moshe Katsav to a lengthy prison term.

There are many thousands of examples proving that Israel is inclusive, and quite the opposite of an apartheid state, but the haters will never mention these facts.

This war is shit, and people on both sides continue to be killed. Every single person killed or wounded is a tragedy that could have been avoided.

Fact-based dialogue is what is needed worldwide to make this the last Arab/Israeli war, and then Israelis and our beautiful Palestinian cousins, who have so much in common, can live in true peace and the region will thrive. Peace is the only solution.

While modern medicine has an invaluable place – particularly for serious illness – many everyday winter rituals have been forgotten or aged out.
