A man who was recently in a pushbike accident and taken to Lismore Base Hospital for assessment and treatment has been airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on the urgent inter-hospital transfer from the Lismore Base Hospital to the Gold Coast University Hospital around 10.30pm, on Wednesday, February 19.
‘A male in his 60’s, suffering a serious head and multiple injuries from an earlier pushbike accident, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and a NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to the Gold Coast,’ stated a spokesperson for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
