I’m very disappointed in the lengths I believe that Justine Elliot has gone to in order to avoid talking to her constituents about climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and the housing crisis.
Not only has she ignored multiple invitations to the ‘Candidates Meet the Community’ democratic forum at the Murwillumbah Community Centre on April 16, from 5.30pm I believe she deliberately created a date clash, so that the National Party candidate decided not to come as well.
The ‘Freedom for Faith’ Christian think tank are also organising a candidates’ forum in Ballina, and after ignoring their invitation for a long time, Justine’s office eventually told them that her only available date was April 16. So now we have the Greens and One Nation candidates attending one forum, and the Labor and National Party candidates attending a different one, and the losers are the Richmond voters and the democratic process!
