Byron Bay Basketball hosted a ‘finals frenzy’ that included all grand finals and third-place playoffs, in every junior division, all played on the one day, 29 November at the Cavanbah Centre.
Every game was played in great competitive spirit and true Beez style, culminating in an intense high school boys A-grade; and then primary school A-grade finals.
Shoot out highlight
The atmosphere was electric – supported by the brand new PA system pumping sounds throughout the day.
A highlight of the day was the 3-point shoot out. The sharpest of sharp shooters from our high school boys A & B divisions (plus some wildcards) were invited to take part. Gem Eden heated up during his round, taking the competition by racking up 13 out of a possible 18 points, taking out the $200 cash prize.
