Police have confirmed a man was attacked at a park in Brunswick Heads on Thursday February 19. The duty officer from Tweed Heads Police station told The Echo, ‘It appears it was between two homeless people. One male was arrested that day and it’s still under investigation.’
Resident Norman Sanders told The Echo, ‘I talked to one of the cops standing over a bloodstain near the Footbridge Cafe. He said the victim headed for the police station, bleeding profusely all the way’.
‘The men in the picture were scrubbing the walk in the doorway of the station, apparently using water from the fire truck, which is stationed next door.
