Teenage gangs on e-bikes now rule our roads at night in Byron Bay.
Driving, or even walking, in the hours of darkness has become very risky.
Teenagers, mostly male, are speeding up and down roads and footpaths with no lights, no helmets, wearing dark clothes, often heads blocked by headphones, causing havoc and putting lives, including their own, at risk.
No regard for road rules, trying to do gymnastics on a speeding e bike at 40-50 km/h is asking to be run over, or going to severely injure pedestrians.
I ask elected community leaders and local police to act and bring this behaviour to a standstill before there is a fatality on our once calm streets.
