Saturday 5 September is the monthly Adoption Day at the NRAS Rescue Shelter, at 61 Piper Drive, Ballina from 10am to 1pm.
The NRAS volunteers say they’ll be firing up the barbeque again; offering $15.00 grooming services, including hydro bathing and nail clipping plus microchipping will also be available.
There will be an array of dog and cat merchandise to purchase, including discounted cat carriers, and many beautiful animals hoping to be adopted.
Charity of the day
Then on Sunday 6 September you can treat your dad to some tunes for Father’s Day down at the Wharf River Club – the Wharf Restaurant from 2pm.
NRAS will be the ‘charity of the day’ and the purple-clad volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions about the organisation, collect donations or just come down and give mascot Maggie Moo a tummy rub.
