Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance after a man who was found in a critical condition on Friday in Brunswick Heads was identified.
Emergency services were called to Fingal Street at Brunswick Heads just before 11.30am Friday 13 after a man was found unconscious in water.
He was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
It’s believed the man suffered a medical episode and police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
Following an appeal for assistance the man has been identified, and police made contact with relatives.
