Pass the word onto those without the internet – assuming phone service is available: NBN impersonators are around.
Police issued an alert earlier this week saying people have been getting phone calls from scammers impersonating NBN Australia.
The scammers were reportedly asking for funds to expedite the restoration of their service.
Police said NBN Australiadidn’t contact customers asking for payment or any other financial information.
Anyone who receives a scam NBN call was urged to report it to Scamwatch immediately at www.scamwatch.gov.au.
