Police say they’ve charged two men over a crash in Uki six months ago that killed a 35-year-old motorbike rider.
Emergency services responded to reports of crash between a ute and a motorbike on Kyogle Road, Uki, in the early afternoon of Saturday 15 March.
Paramedics treated the rider on scene and had him airlifted to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital where he died later that same day.
Police say they charged a 52-year-old man who had been driving the ute, as well as his alleged 30-old male passenger at the time, on Saturday 13 September.
The older man is charged with negligent driving occasioning death and for never having been licensed to drive on the road.
The younger man was charged for being a Learner without the accompaniment of a driver, police officer or tester.
They’re due to appear before Tweed Heads Local Court on 27 October.
