Tweed Shire Council inspectors yesterday inspected the controversial Hewittville private forestry site at Limpinwood and have given assurances that logging has not resumed despite the concerns of some locals.
A demonstration has been sparked for this Thursday by the destruction of high value forest and koala habitat through illegal logging and road building in Environment Protection Zones (EPZ) near Limpinwood, between Chillingham and Tyalgum.
