Protesters say they are trying to stop logging today in Orara East State Forest, near Coffs Harbour.

There will be no more koalas in the wild in NSW by 2050 if we don’t take action to preserve their habitat, according to a NSW state parliamentary inquiry in 2020, but the Nature Conservation Council say NSW Labor still isn’t doing enough.

Four forest protectors ranging in age from 18 to 50 faced court today in Coffs Harbour after locking themselves onto logging machinery.

Six people between the ages of 17 and 76 have been arrested near Coffs Harbour.

Boambee State Forest on the western edge of Coffs Harbour, that is proposed to be part of the GKNP, is today being blocked from logging by activist Ella.
