Monsanto has been in the news for many years now. It is the company that has toxified the entire planet with PCBs and introduced genetically modified crops that support an addiction to the use of Roundup, a herbicide many farmers and other agriculturalists use on the north coast. How many people realise that they are toxifying the environment to the point where the food chain will soon be totally dominated by our reliance on Monsanto?
I used to live around the corner from the Monsanto chemical company in Rozelle in Sydney, and often weird smells used to waft around the neighbourhood, with no one really knowing what we were being exposed to. The factory eventually closed down and moved elsewhere but I often wonder what future I have in store seeing as most carcinogens do not manifest their toxic death knell for at least 30 years. The reasons that we have such a high incidence of cancer in our society is because of companies like Monsanto releasing pesticides and herbicides without due testing and hiding the facts that they have no idea what the long term consequences are and, if they do, they do not want us to know so as to maintain their vast profits.
Don’t take my word for it; watch this documentary and see what people have uncovered about this company, which manages to get its executives into high ranking positions within government in the USA with he latest being the secretary for agriculture appointed by Obama.
