Each year Mullumbimby CWA supports the Cancer Council with a Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser. This year they decided to change things up a bit and have a soup lunch and raffles.
Three Mullumbimby High School students helped as waiters and one musical student played the piano to add some background music to the event. The CWA ladies cooked six different homemade soups for the fundraiser. There was a talk by a representative of the Cancer Council and raffles drawn were features of the event.
‘We gave $900 to the Cancer Council but, as many people missed this event and want to support it, interested people are welcome to give a donation to Mullumbimby CWA to be forwarded to the Cancer Council by calling President Sue Constable on 0409 841 675,’ said a spokesperson.
