Police are appealing for information after two firearms were stolen from a home in Goonellabah last week.
The two guns, a Stoeger rifle and a Desert Eagle pistol, were secured in a locked safe at the time of their theft.
Police from Richmond Local Area Command on Thursday spoke to the 25-year-old owner of the firearms, who last saw the guns at his Goonellabah property at the beginning of last week.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the whereabouts of the firearms to come forward.
