One of the joys of life is being able to sit down at one of the local cafes in Brunswick, enjoy a coffee and the view, say hi to folks you know and soak in the peaceful environment.
Now the Falls festival has completely destroyed that peace with hordes of festival-goers descending on the cafes.
Queues running down the street, queues to the ATM, no place to park, rubbish left all over the beaches and parks.
Wow, thanks North Byron Parklands; you really know how to destroy communities. Don’t you have coffee stalls out there? Not enough entertainment? Is it more fun to see the local communities ruined?
I have an idea. I think North Byron Parklands should distribute their substantial profits to every Shire resident as a means of compensating for the utter chaos and misery their festivals bring to our shire.
Let’s not forget the awful NSW O’Farrell government has given consent to five festivals a year.
Is there any way we can make O’Farrell and Don Page drive round Bruns looking for a park and, preferably, put them behind a coffee machine and see how they cope with the hordes day after day?
