I can confirm that Richmond Valley Council employees removed some steps that were constructed [at a Bentley CSG protest site]: without council approval (Echonetdaily January 31), not by an authorised contractor, not to any Australian standard, not by anyone who wished to take responsibility for their maintenance (including liability via some form of insurance) and ultimate removal, and at a location council does not want to encourage the public to use.
We did this after I consulted with protesters on site and offered them the opportunity to remove them.
