Mullumbimby Giants RLFC have scored themselves some much-needed customised team jerseys thanks to the Tooheys New sponsorship program, and the unwavering support of the Mullumbimby community.
The Tooheys New Footy Fund is a program focused on supporting senior Rugby League and Rugby Union clubs in regional NSW. Pub patrons have been able to allocate reward points to their favourite participating senior footy club online. Once enough points are accrued, clubs can redeem them for new footy gear.
Mitchell Lambert from Mullumbimby Giants RLFC says the Tooheys New Footy Fund campaign has been a fantastic way to get supporters engaged with the club.
‘We have always been grateful for the ongoing support from our fans that show up every week to cheer on the teams, come rain, hail or shine,’ said Mitchell. ‘Now their commitment has helped us get our hands on some of the much-needed gear.
‘In particular, we would like to give special thanks to our local sponsors, who have provided the club with incredible vouchers to redeem as many Footy Fund points as possible.
‘We would also like to thank the Billinudgel Hotel for their ongoing support of the team. We hope that everyone will continue to cheer on the boys next year when our players will be kitted out in their new uniforms.’
