Public Information and Inquiry Centre closes – ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred

The Public Information and Inquiry Centre (PIIC), which was activated to support the ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred response in NSW, has now closed.

All lanes of the Pacific Motorway just north of the Tugan Tunnel have reopened following a truck accident earlier today.

Diversions have been lifted, however northbound lanes will close again later today for tunnel repairs to be conducted.

At this time northbound motorists will be diverted on to the Gold Coast Highway and Stewart Road.

The motorway was closed in both directions due to the truck accident. Emergency services and traffic crews are on site working to recover the truck and clean a diesel spill.
