The Byron Bay Red Devils women’s tag-league has qualified for the competition’s first grandfinal after a strong 20–4 win over Murwillumbah on the weekend.

The She-Devils will have plenty to do when they come up against Marist Women in the final as they have lost to them twice in the season.

Most recently in a semifinal when they were beaten 12–0 playing away in Ballina.

The She-Devils finished the regular season in second place behind Marist Women.

Red Devils committee member Ben Webber is a keen follower of the women’s team and said they will have to change it up if they are going to get a win over the form team in the grandfinal.

‘They’ll have to come up with a different gameplan, change the point of attack, otherwise the Marist Women will be ready for them,’ he said.

Kick-off – 10.30am, Kingsford Smith Park, Ballina.
