Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

  1. RFS Fire Investigators please note the relatively minuscule amount of time taken by NSW Police to investigate and issue a fine. Excellent work!! The RFS appears to find it a difficult task to issue fines for starting an unauthorised fire – and particularly for those fires that leave the property of origin and cause damage on another property. It seems that too often, the only aim of the RFS Fire Investigators is to locate the point of origin. Why stop there?

Maybe it’s time NSW Police should take over those roles and continue their good work? Most fires are started with a match and too few perpetrators are ever punished !
