I’d like to know what happened to the $1.2million slated for cycleways including Ocean Shores. That was two years ago and it is still not possible to cycle from Ocean Shores through New Brighton to North Ocean Shores.
This is owing to a vital missing link from the corner of Redgate Road, north through to Kollara Way.
Signs put up signalling imminent work last year were then taken down with no work done.
What are cyclists, young and old, people pushing prams and strollers or a walker supposed to do on all these roads? If Byron is looking to be an exemplary Shire with regard to energy management an exemplary system of cycle paths must be an integral part.
