
A 64-year-old man was airlifted to hospital on Monday (October 22) after falling from his pushbike at Coopers Shoot, west of Byron Bay.
The Westpac Lifesaver rescue helicopter was tasked at 9am to attend the accident.
The patient was stabilised by the chopper’s clinical team and paramedics before being flown to Gold Coast University Hospital suffering head and pelvic injuries.
Four-wheel drive rolled
At around 2pm the helicopter was tasked to Terania Creek after a male was ejected from a four-wheel drive that rolled a number of times.
He was also stabilised by the clinical team and paramedics before being flown to Lismore Base Hospital suffering pelvic and chest injuries.
