S Deyris, Byron Bay & A Gattenhof, Mullumbimby
Would-be developers of West Byron take note. You must have a clear picture by now that your style of ordinary, dreary, destructive development is not wanted here; we reject you.
We the people, the legitimate community who live and love here, we reject you; like we reject fast junk food. We want the extraordinary bio-diversity in this town to stay intact.
We reject your old, dead ideas. We want new solutions, new low-impact ways of building, and new low-impact zoning.
We want Byron Bay’s beautiful wild entrance to be preserved. We want eco-solutions and people who are intelligent enough to see this is the way of the future.
Sometimes what has been permitted is the wrong thing. We want Stuart Murray and all the people who have been planning Byron’s carve up to take a look down the tunnel of time, and go back to the drawing board, throw out old planning ideas, and come up with something innovative and fit for our sustainable future.
If you can’t do that, go away. Any development proposals must enhance our community and environment. We accept nothing less.
