Perhaps the massive petition against having the hospital site at Cudgen should al-so press to request the resignation of Geoff Provest, twisting the genuine motivations of the mayor to fake mischief.
Provest’s ‘tireless efforts to ensure as much work as possible goes to local businesses’ would not change one iota were the hospital site moved from Cudgen to another flood prone area, such as Kings Forest, say.
We are uniquely fortunate to have a mayor who cares for community and puts our people before profit. Nothing to do with a ‘disregard for local business’.
Reminder: we all want the much-needed hospital, but not at Cudgen.
And proper open scrutiny by Council is essential.
