Gordon Ramsey is the target of justifiable outrage for shooting and then cooking a goat in New Zealand. But let’s not forget the eight million animals who are just as cruelly slaughtered every single hour of the day for human consumption. They are also suffering and dying: cows are shot in the head with metal bolts, pigs are gassed in cages, chickens are hung upside down by their legs, which are often broken by the rough treatment, to have their necks sliced open.
Of course caring people are appalled by Ramsey’s actions but if you object to innocent animals being brutally killed for profit, then stop buying meat. Going vegan is better for your health and the environment, and will make the world a kinder, more considerate place for all of us.
