Mandy Nolan’s Soapbox: Killer Crocs!

When I was 18, to rebel against the world my parents had created, I shaved a half Mohawk, encouraged my hair to stand on end, grew my armpit hair, wore torn black rags, too much eyeliner and wore 18-hole Dr. Martens boots. These days, to give their parents the shits, the kids are wearing Crocs. With socks. They’re going for comfort.

MP Justine Elliot should step up and at least vote for better conditions for Julian.

The Wikileaks founder only exposed the truth, which is now becoming harder and harder to source from our governments. The US government is telling its usual lies, lies, lies.

So Justine Elliott MP show who you really are, and do the right thing.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

  1. I agree that Justine should step up & be counted in
supporting Julian. Australia’s not looking all that
good these days & we are being bought off by real
professionals. More to the point, what are we to do
about the June closure of the AAP (i.e. Australian
Associated Press)? Murdoch’s hand & voice rules
its demise – as does his Channel 9. I note how all
is quiet on the whole set-up.
