Covid Cassandra peers into the future

As the COVID lockdowns draw to a close, there are still people who profess themselves unwilling to vaccinate under any circumstances, and who object to bearing any consequences that may arise.

Hannah Grace, Ocean Shores

The planet is fucked on multiple levels because of humans. What can we actually, truly, do to turn things around when all of this unstable crap is chewing up the world?

I think the COVID-19 lockdown thing has concentrated my venom at the awfulness of these times, and I throw my arms up in despair.

Like the recent cartoon in Echonetdaily with the koala saying ‘WTF humans?’ – my sentiments exactly! What kind of idiots are we? No bloody foresight – dumb as!

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
