The true colours have been shown, so that’s what the COVID-19 government has been up to! A $270 billion spend on the military machine over ten years for the defence of Australia? All that money for the power to cause the death of people (hypersonic weapons and others) more surveillance powers and systems, that’s the priority when there is injustice in the land and the system we live in.
What’s happening to the recognition of the sovereign people of this land, the bushfire response and prevention, the COVID response and rebuilding the nation? What’s happening to law reform, pollution, people living below the poverty line, the homeless, climate change action, reducing fossil fuel use? What about the recession caused by the virus and the plight of refugees – the list of repairs needed goes on.
Don’t forget the taxpayer is funding this expenditure on military might, don’t forget the sports rort, robo-debt, the spying on East Timor. The structure behind the people spending all our money, is the same as the one that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and provoked the war on Iraq, based on a lie.
The motives behind their actions are not transparent, they are kept secret – for our own good we are told. I would welcome the change to a fair and equal economic system.
