John Davies, Mullumbimby
This morning, I found in my letterbox (Mullumbimby) a four page ‘rant’ about the harm of lockdowns, the case against mandatory vaccines, and the benefits of antiviral therapies. The document is anonymous, it does say it is from the ‘COVID medical network’ but there is no address or contact details.
As a reference, it cites three doctors; one is not in Australia, one is a GP on the north Sunshine Coast and one is an anaesthetist who has a long history of being critical of Dan Andrews. None are from the Byron Shire.
The document shows no understanding of the COVID virus, its effects, or how it is transmitted. It is pure scaremongering – and targeted at the Byron Shire.
As the document is in mail boxes, it is indiscriminate with regard to its recipients. The affect will be to generate confusion and fear in a time when it is essential that we work together as a responsible society.
I regard the authors as both gutless and criminal in their intent.
