We have endured drought, bushfires, flooding and COVID. However, Australia must brace itself for something even worse. Something that will swamp Australia and will also reverberate around the world. We are about to be hit with the heaviest deposit of BS that we have ever seen.
‘Scotty the announcer’ will be unloading his climate change response for COP26 meeting in Glasgow. We can expect an announcement of ‘technology not taxes’, ‘beating not meeting’, ‘wind doesn’t blow, sun doesn’t shine’, ‘hoping to achieve’, ‘businesses investing’, ‘States leading the way’, ‘gas essential for transition’, ‘coal still has a role’, ‘carbon capture and storage’ etc, etc. In other words ‘blah, blah, blah’ as Greta has described it.
Anything remotely positive such as ‘green hydrogen, green steel, offshore wind’ will be aspirational with no intention of commitment.
It will be an announcement of epic proportions, one worthy of the man who does nothing, is accountable for nothing, has more spin than a ‘whirling Dervish’ and wants your vote at the upcoming election so that he can keep his snout in the trough at our expense.
Australians have to decide if they want to be mushrooms for another three years and soak up his BS or do the right thing and vote him out. Easy choice for me.
