Police are appealing for information regarding an alleged assault at the Pacific Motorway, Tugun on September 25.

‘About 7.45pm, a grey Haval H2 station wagon and a red Mitsubishi Triton utility were travelling northbound on the motorway near Stewarts Road when both drivers allegedly started driving dangerously and interacting with each other,’ said a spokesperson for the Queensland Police.

‘Both drivers stopped at roadworks on the motorway at Elanora before exiting their vehicles.

‘Police will allege an altercation occurred between the two drivers, both men, during which a 39-year-old Pimpama man sustained minor injuries to his face and stomach.’

Police are appealing to anyone with information or dash cam vision of the alleged dangerous driving or assault to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
